Second Year Chapter- 2.8
Holidays
A long holiday and a time to do non-stop work with no lectures to get in the way.
I of course instantly started to colour up the script and started handing them out to people.
I made sure to give Mads the shot that he had already started with his test shot.
And I had to give Alex the shot of when the innocent victim is having a break down as had yet to finish the animatic scene. And he was insisted that he had to do it and with him trying to take over others work I thought it best to give that to him as a shot to keep him occupied and off of everyone else back.
I also reconstructed every character in Photoshop as the turn around that Laura had done where very ruff and where a little to transparent for them to be used in the final animation. So I used Lauras as a base to go over them. I also added some more assets to them so the turn around form each angle looks the same. I then separate the limbs so me and the rest of the group could easily animate in Photoshop.
I told the group to start your shots and if possible get it done by the end of summer.
I of course started and pretty much finished mine as I wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed in the shot.
To my surprise the only problem I had when uni started back up was finding out that Laura had basically gone against what I had asked and had done her shot in tvpaint and of course it didn't look right.
I was annoyed that she didn't come to us for help at all over the holidays and had just gone ahead without even asking our thoughts.
When she came back she shrugged it off and gave the parts I offered her to do over to Mads and Amy.With no objections they took on her work.
This basically left her nothing to do so I suggested she do some credits so she can at least add something to her show reel. She agreed and said she also wanted to redo the helpful poster and as art direction I felt like I had to let her.
