Target X-Mas

A hitman is hired to assassinate Santa Claus, but he has to find him among the crowd at the 75th annual Santa Convention.

This project has been a joy to be on as it involves my favourite time of year CHRISTMAS 😍.

I'll start of by introducing the concept art work I did for the Santa Convention.
These are just basic ruff sketches of ideas.

I also did a few character designs but as I'm not very good at character drawing their not very good. However did some so I could gain more practice and get better at it.

Now onto a topic I'm better at.
When it comes to doing layouts of a room I would first draw a birds I view layout of what the whole room would look like so others and myself can see what position the camera will be in. Along with what will be seen in that shot.
I then followed this up by doing the shot. Sometimes I also coloured them in to give my art directors a better feel to the layout and thoughts on what the colours could be.

Theses layout design did not suit the directors ideas so I re-designed it into a more old fashioned look.

The man in the last image is the big boss man himself. He was drawn by someone else (this goes the same for other drawings of him)

With most of the layouts finished I was moved onto doing other things like colouring them in or texturing them to give them more character.

Here are the ruff ones that I did to get a handle on the style they wanted.

These are the ones that I was asked to put texture onto.

 Character was created by another person on this project.

I have not had any troubles with this project unless you count waiting for feedback which has been fabulous compared to the other groups I am working on currently in my 3rd year.
